Luciana was raised at home in Rome through her father and mother. Luciana's father was Manlio Paoluzzi an Italian Army officer, and her maternal grandmother was Maria Rota Paoluzzi who was the one of Benito's lovers. There's no record of her having any siblings. Luciana was a student at the high school in her town, and after graduating in 1955 was a student at the Naval Engineering department of the Scientific Academy of Milan. She was the sole woman in her class. Following two years of modeling, she got an appearance in Three Coins in the Fountain. This was her debut. Brett Halsey - an actor - was her first spouse.
