Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, a Canadian-American singer and songwriter. Her albums span over 20 years. Her songs are classified by the label as folk or alternative rock. However, they also have influences from hip hop music, jazz, and punk. A feminist icon widely recognized as Grammy award winner Ani DiFranco was the founder of the DIY movement being one of the pioneers to establish her own label the year 1990. DiFranco is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco. They were introduced in The Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father is of Italian heritage, while her mother comes from Montreal. Ani Difrasco wrote and recorded the track "32 Flavors".
